Shawnrick's grandpa passed away yesterday morning. The wake will be at Whampoa Drive Blk 74 and the funeral will be on friday. Whoever is free kindly please go down and support shawnrick.

Less than 2weeks before going Brunei..undoubtedly the most boring place on Earth.
~ im starting to feel bored already..gosh.

This is how i think movies shown on channel 5 work:

When a movie is first shown, it's a TV premiere, then later it becomes an encore telecast or back by popular demand ( Sunday Prime movie). After 1 or 2 years, it becomes a blockbuster movie, then eventually becomes Monday mega movie, which will be repeated again & again.
If it is for mature audience, it will be shown on Friday late night movie or Saturday late night movie..lol.

I think i watched the movie broken arrow like 4 times?stargate & speed like 3times?haha..& not forgetting the huang fei hong series on channel 8..

Frustration. Angst. Confused. Lousy.
Life is indeed a struggle.

When everything becomes so unpredictable & seemingly impossible, you start to have doubts on the outcome. You want to give up, but at the same time you do not want to.

A dilemma.

Take it as a challenge. Press on. Have the fighting spirit to overcome all doubts & make the impossible possible.

Must-dos:

Do evening gongyo at Jurong kaikan everyday.
Participate in gakkai activities as best as i can.

Why? Because you have too much time?

Wrong.

Reason: Because i believe, or rather i want to believe.

Faith takes time to deepen. Faith, practice & study.

i practiced & i studied but you know something? i sense something is still missing that will actually serve to convince me better & bring my faith to a higher level.

So after thinking, i think i know what is that missing link: actual proof.

You may study & listen to testimonials but as long as you didnt see it for yourself, you will not be convinced.

So back to the question:why i devote so much of my time to gakkai activities & do my morning & evening gongyo religiously, something that i don't do in the past?

Because i want to bring my faith to a higher level. I want to see actual proof for myself.

How so?

By giving myself a timeline.

After doing evening gongyo at SCC, i went down to Jurong regional library on Wednesday for Sensei's photo exhibition.
The photos mostly depicted the vast beauty of nature & they were truly great eye candies..haa. There was one particular photo that caught my attention - It was full of white cherry trees, in stark contrast with the leaves of myriad colours in the background.
Such was the beauty of springtime. Most impressive.

The exhibition will be on for another couple of days, so anyone who has not seen the photos may want to drop by.

Went to Senja to do some counselling work after morning gongyo. It was intended for a primary3 boy(Bryan) who was said to be so rebellious that his parents were at a loss of what to do. I finally understood why when we reached there.

Bryan was so afraid of strangers that he refused to listen to us. We had a taste of his rebellious nature when he started running around the house & actually overturned dining chairs.
The worst part was when his father went to get a belt & actually whipped him a couple of times.
I had the urge to step forward cuz bryan certainly did not deserve that kind of punishment. But who was i to stop him?
I could not even describe that feeling in words.
Luckily bryan cooled down so renna & i actually had a chance to speak to him.

I believe Bryan has a bright future but he lacks the attention & love from his parents.
It is my first time witnessing a case of domestic violence & i really don't wish to see any more of such episodes.
